Stellenbosch
Simonsig Wine Estate
The Pioneers Of Cap Classique
Simonsig Wine Estate is synonymous with the history of the South African wine industry,
the Stellenbosch wine region, and the Malan family name. These elements are inter-
twined in this family-owned farm, where the late Frans Malan produced the first bottle
of our much-loved Kaapse Vonkel, South Africa’s first Méthode Cap Classique
made in the classic bottle-fermented style. At Simonsig, the Malan family values
drive the Estate’s commitment to producing wines of internationally regarded
excellence, expressing the unique and diverse terroir of the Stellenbosch region.

Stellenzicht Wines
Good wine is well-made. Fine wine is nurtured.
Stellenzicht’s vineyards and winery is nestled on the slopes of the Helderberg in Stellenbosch. As
custodians of this beautiful farm, we believe in protecting our natural resources through sustaina-
ble farming. These efforts help create an eco-system that protects our dragonfly population as
well as our fauna and flora. This philosophy of sustainability drives our daily activities, as we
consistently pursue balance. In honouring our history, and existing soils, we spent a great deal
of time determining your soil types in order to plant the right varieties on the ideal site. This
gives the vines the best possible chance to root itself within the ideal terroir.
